Wow 11 days now. This has come round so quick.
Starting to get a tad nervous now. Brits has now changed all the plans for him and Chopper, who were originally coming up Friday to sunday morning. Now chopper is doing Saturday and Sunday and Brits Monday. Need to cancel their mini bus now.
Anyway, the family and I popped up to the lake District to stay at Pooley Bridge on Ullswater for Easter weekend. Was a great weekend and we went to see the hotel in patterdale I am staying in which amused everyone as it wasn’t quite up to the standard we were staying in.
Just starting the packing now and last minute additions. One thing I was surprised with when we were out walking the weekend is how quickly the weather changes and more importantly the temperature .
We were walking in sunshine and beautiful views over the mountains in temperatures of around 13 C then in an instance the clouds came down covering the mountain blocking out the sun and started raining. Down to about 4c in a split second!!
Lesson learned here is have layers and waterproofs at the ready! Must be scary when on the mountains when this happens.

Wow now down to 4 days till my walk. I remember when I started planning this in the summer of 2016.. seemed ages away then. Now I am starting to watch weather forecasts in earnest and double checking what I am taking.
Apparently there is to be high pressure over the UK from next week so may get away with only a few days of rain, but will wait and see.
